CREATE SOMETHING THAT MOVES!

We keep a collage box of all kinds of materials:  buttons, rick-rack, colored toothpicks, yarn, foam pieces, buttons, craft sticks, etc.

Today's assignment: Create something that moves.  Pictured is a horse performing at a circus.  The horse moves by pulling the yarn from the back side.

GOING ON A PROBLEM HUNT - MATH ACTIVITY

Whenever possible, try to make learning fun!  Perhaps one day instead of doing math problems on a sheet of paper,  cut out fun shapes and put the problems on the back of the shapes.  Attach to walls, windows, doors, cabinets.  The child "hunts" for each problem in order, works the problem, gets an okay that it is correct, and then "hunts" for the next problem.
